Animals

about

Inspired by the dystopian world of 2020, I wrote ANIMALS around the time of the riots and George Floyd protests that were happening in Los Angeles. The rioting was located just a few blocks away from where I live creating an inescapable tension in the air. I felt compelled to write about that stressful time in LA and the carnal and animalistic nature of human beings.

lyrics

I can feel them watching don't think we can side with love again
I think the world wants us to blow up ourselves and try again
I know we can be strong
I know we can be animals
I know we can be fools
I know what we can be
what are you waiting for

(Gonna find our way)
This is going nowhere we're still fighting with ourselves again
Just throw them overboard and let them drown in the waves again
I know we can be strong
I know we can be animals
I know we can be fooled
I know we can be animals
(Get outta my way)
I know we can be strong
(Find our way)

They've got eyes on you
(Yeah)
(Find our way)
I know we can be strong
(Gonna find our way)
(Find our way)
(Yeah)

about

Eddie Cohn Los Angeles, California

Eddie Cohn is one of those rare artists where you never know what you’re going to hear next. An uptempo rock song like Pearl Jam, maybe a dreamy down tempo groove with lush strings that reminds you of Beck or an electronic dance song that could be played in the Los Angeles night clubs. Eddie is a self taught multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer, DJ and composer. ... more
